It is 2.12am past midnight now.

Saturday.

Week 9th.

Counting up to the 62nd day since my first arrival.

Counting down 63 days more to my first sem break.

Can't believe I've been through half of my first semester in uni.

Everything happened in my uni life seems to race in a blink of an eye.

It was a month ago when I last updated my blog.

In such a short period of time,

nevertheless,

    my perspective towards my future is changed entirely.

Different faces start entering into my life.

I was inspired and motivated.

I was loved and cherished.

We became friends, became buddies.

We laughed together, mocked each other 

and tapped one another shoulder's when he/she was tired.

I never thought of having them when I first arrived uni.

 I am blessed.

And I am thankful to God for adoring me so much.

To mention,

most of them are from AIESEC.

Despite being from different courses, different grades, 

different races and different backgrounds,

they are like a family to me.

    No other words than comfortable can better describe my feelings when I was with them.

However to be honest,

I found it awkward when I first joined this huge bunch of people.

But as time passes, 

we get to familiarize each other and the awkwardness faded away.

All this starts from the three days two night LLDS which I didn't plan to attend at first.

If someone asked me did I regret for my decision,

My answer is an absolute NO.

People asked me why I love AIESEC so much.

That's because I feel like I was in high school again.

During my 6-years high school days,

I used to have a group of besties where we grew up together 

and been through numerous of ups and downs throughout our teens.

I have a bunch of boy-friends where we are as close as soulmates

and I can cry and act childish in front of them without worrying my image ruined.

They are always the first bunch of people I turned to when I was in trouble.

Whenever I was back in JB,

 I wouldn't mind travel across the sea and visit their university and knock their doors late at night.

Although most of them were having exams next day,

they would still bring me out for supper and update me their recent life.

      

A few weeks ago,

on October 28 Tuesday,

it was my 19th birthday.

Initially, 

I thought I would be celebrating my birthday alone.

I was mentally prepared to just let the day pass will do.

But it turned up to be the most surprise and touching one throughout my life.

First, I didn't expect any of my course mates would notice my birthday.

We weren't that close at that time.

However when we had our afternoon class in TCR,

Lala eventually wished me Happy Birthday in our whatsapp group.

I was so shocked and touched when the others began to wish me birthday wishes too.

Kinza gave me a warm hug and a Subway cookie which I have been craving for ages,

while Nadiah, Syira and Tina gave me Kopiko sweets as my birthday present.

Michelle even suggested to sing me a Happy Birthday song in TCR right after class.

I rejected the idea as I weren't planning to let every students in TCR know that it was my birthday.

Haha.

When the night closed in,

my house mates invited me to watch choir performance at SA as Olivia was one of the performers.

We were walking passed our canteen

when I saw my Foon Yew's Notties were at one of the tables with a lighted Secret Recipe cake.

The cake itself explained why they were there at that time.

As told by Xiaoliang,

it was my Dad n Mum who bought the cake.

Once again, I was embraced with blessings.

Besides this surprise birthday party,

I have received my first birthday card from my AIESEC's seniors.

They even got me a short video which they awkwardly sang Happy Birthday in the library. 

They might look funny but my tears were rolling when I watched the video.

10 o'clock at night, 

when I connected my Skype as planned a few days before my birthday

so that my besties could sing me a Happy Birthday song,

I was in shock again when I realised all my best boy-buddies were online too.

My girlfriends eventually planned a surprise birthday celebration through Skype
so that I can meet up with all my loved ones.

 
That was the moment when tears really coursed down my cheeks.

 Thankiew you guys for giving me such a big surprise!
I really love you guys to the moon and back!

Through various social media,
 such as Facebook, Line, Whatsapp, Wechat and Oovoo,

 I have received lots and lots of birthday wishes too.

 (I would like to thank the stranger who posted on the Expression page and wished me Happy B'day.)

Thank you so much!

For the next few days after my birthday,

I was still receiving blessings from people all around the world.

From Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Singapore and England.

 

To add on,

my birthday was on the same day when Foon Yew's 2014 batch have their graduation ceremony. 

 Similar to what my fellow friends and I have been through last year,

 the juniors were having their Annual Graduation Dinner on that day too.

All these coincidences evoked my memories

and have made my birthday more meaningful as it should be.

I really didn't expect that much.

I didn't.

Looking back to all the love I had received, 

I felt a tug on my heartstrings.

   I love all of them,

and I know they love me too.

One day,

I will go out and explore the world.

I will travel to the every ends of the earth.

I will discover the inner beauty hidden behind every faces I met.

And find peace in all the things I touched.

I will take photographs of the smiling faces I saw in the supermarket.

And the little yellow flower which bloomed in my backyard that morning.

And the peaceful sky when it turns from dazzling blue to orange-red.

I will sit by the ocean,

 up on the hilltop,

and listen to the symphony of nature. 

Listen to the sound when the crystal blue waves crash against the rocks.

When the gentle breeze whips my hair backwards.  

 And when the birds are warbling and the crickets are chirping.

I will record down every beauty I see and I hear.

Feel them.

And love them.

I see calm and peace in this photo.

One day soon,

I will be one of the graduates from this beautiful place.

I would then be a grown-up.

Not physically,

but in knowledge and wisdom.

However,

there is still many unknowns.

No one can predict their future.

Neither me.

God has a plan for us.

 Hope but never expect.

I love everyone who I've met and who I'm going to meet.

  Thank you for being part of my life and lead me to who I am now.

I will strive to be a better one.

I am an AIESECer.

I am an UNMCian.

 And I am a FOON YEW kid.
